06दूध पिलाना
पूरे दो साल, उसके लिए जो दूध पिलाने की मुद्दत पूरी करना चाहे। आपसी रज़ामंदी से इससे पहले दूध छुड़ाना जायज़ है, और इसमें कोई इल्ज़ाम नहीं।
छपी हुई अंग्रेज़ी, हमेशा दिखाई जाती है:
Two full years for whoever wishes to complete the nursing. Weaning earlier by mutual consent is permitted, and no blame attaches to it.

रज़ाअत का रिश्ता
जो औरत किसी बच्चे को दूध पिलाती है, वह हुरमत में उसकी माँ बन जाती है — और उसका शौहर उसका बाप, उसके बच्चे उसके भाई-बहन। इसके बाद उनके बीच निकाह उम्र भर के लिए हराम है।
छपी हुई अंग्रेज़ी, हमेशा दिखाई जाती है:
A woman who nurses a child becomes their mother in prohibition — and her husband their father, her children their siblings. Marriage between them is thereafter forbidden for life.
शा और हं — पाँच अलग-अलग बार पेट भर दूध पिलाने से यह साबित होता है।
छपी हुई अंग्रेज़ी, हमेशा दिखाई जाती है:
S and Ḥb — five separate satisfying feeds establish it.
ह और मा — कोई भी मिक़दार जो पेट तक पहुँच जाए, उससे यह साबित हो जाता है।

Ḥ and M — any amount that reaches the stomach establishes it.
चारों के नज़दीक इसका पहले दो साल के अंदर होना ज़रूरी है।

All four require it to occur within the first two years.
मुस्लिम · सहीह — “रज़ाअत उसे हराम करती है जिसे विलादत हराम करती है।”

Muslim · ṣaḥīḥ — “Suckling prohibits what birth prohibits.”
रिकॉर्ड रखें। जहाँ बच्चे को किसी रिश्तेदार ने, किसी दोस्त ने, या अतिया किए हुए दूध से पिलाया गया हो, वहाँ लिख लें कि किसने पिलाया और कब। कई ख़ानदानों को इस रिश्ते का पता ऐन निकाह के वक़्त चला, जब इसे पलटने में बहुत देर हो चुकी थी।
छपी हुई अंग्रेज़ी, हमेशा दिखाई जाती है:
Keep a record. Where a child is fed by a relative, a friend, or from donated milk, write down who fed them and when. Families have discovered the bond only at the point of marriage, when it was too late to undo.
दूध पिलाने वाली माँ का नान-नफ़क़ा बाप के ज़िम्मे है, चाहे वह उसकी बीवी हो या तलाक़शुदा — क़ुरआन 65:6।

A father owes the nursing mother her maintenance, whether she is his wife or divorced — Q 65:6.
