Al-Anbiyaa
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. لَوْ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّٱتَّخَذْنَـٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَـٰعِلِينَ 17
{17} "Kama tungelitaka kufanya pumbao" kwa chukulia kwamba hilo linawezekana ila haliwezekani, "tungejifanyia Sisi wenyewe, lau kwamba tungelikuwa ni wafanyao hivyo," wala hatungewajulisha yale mambo yenye upuuzi na pumbao. Kwa sababu huu ni upungufu na mfano mbaya ambao hatupendi kuwaonyesha. Kwa maana mbingu na ardhi ambavyo mnaviona kila wakati haviwezi kuwa kwamba vilikusudiwa kuwa ni upuuzi na za pumbao. Na haya yote tunayachukulia kuwa hivi kwa ajili ya kuweza kuzielewesha akili ndogo na kuzishawishi kwa njia zote zenye kushawishi. Basi ametakasika Yeye ambaye ni Mstahamilivu, Mwingi wa kurehemu, Mwenye hekima katika kuvishusha vitu katika daraja zake.
