Al-Qadr 97:5
القدرسَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ
یہ رات سراسر سلامتی کی ہوتی ہے[1] اور فجر کے طلوع ہونے تک (رہتی ہے).
[1] یعنی اس میں شر نہیں۔ یا اس معنی میں سلامتی والی ہے کہ مومن اس رات کو شیطان کے شر سے محفوظ رہتے ہیں۔ یا فرشتے اہل ایمان کو سلام عرض کرتے ہیں۔ یا فرشتے ہی آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو سلام کرتے ہیں۔ شب قدر کے لئے نبی (صلى الله عليه وسلم) نے بطور خاص یہ دعا بتلائی ہے «اللَّهُمَّ! إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي» ( ترمذي أبواب الدعوات، ابن ماجه، كتاب الدعاء، باب الدعاء بالعفو والعافية ) ۔
