As-Saff 61:2
الصفيَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ
اے ایمان والو[1] ! تم وه بات کیوں کہتے ہو جو کرتے نہیں.
[1] یہاں ندا اگرچہ عام ہے لیکن اصل خطاب ان مومنوں سے ہے جو کہہ رہے تھے کہ ہمیں أَحَبُّ الأَعْمَالِ کا علم ہو جائے تو ہم انہیں کریں، لیکن جب انہیں بعض پسندیدہ عمل بتلائے گئے تو سست ہوگئے۔ اس لیے ایسے لوگوں کو توبیخ کی جارہی ہے کہ خیر کی جو باتیں کہتے ہو، کرتے کیوں نہیں ہو، جو بات منہ سے نکالتے ہو، اسے پورا کیوں نہیں کرتے؟ جو زبان سے کہتے ہو، اس کی پاسداری کیوں نہیں کرتے؟
