Ad-Dukhaan 44:32
الدخانوَلَقَدِ ٱخْتَرْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
اور ہم نے دانستہ طور پر بنی اسرائیل کو دنیا جہان والوں پر فوقیت دی.[1]
[1] اس جہان سے مراد، بنی اسرائیل کے زمانے کا جہان ہے۔ علی الاطلاق کل جہان نہیں ہے۔ کیونکہ قرآن میں امت محمدیہ کو كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ کے لقب سے ملقب کیا گیا ہے۔ یعنی بنی اسرائیل اپنے زمانے میں دنیا جہاں والوں پر فضیلت رکھتے تھے۔ ان کی یہ فضیلت اس استحقاق کی وجہ سے تھی جس کا علم اللہ کو ہے۔
