Al-Baqara 2:227
البقرةوَإِنْ عَزَمُوا۟ ٱلطَّلَـٰقَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
اور اگر طلاق کا ہی قصد کرلیں[1] تو اللہ تعالیٰ سننے واﻻ، جاننے واﻻ ہے۔
[1] ان الفاظ سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ چار مہینے گزرتے ہی از خود طلاق واقع نہیں ہوگی (جیسا کہ بعض علما کا مسلک ہے) بلکہ خاوند کے طلاق دینے سے طلاق ہوگی، جس پر اسے عدالت بھی مجبور کرے گی۔ جیسا کہ جمہور علما کا مسلک ہے۔ (ابن کثیر )
