At-Tawba
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. وَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَجَـٰهِدُوا۟ مَعَ رَسُولِهِ ٱسْتَـْٔذَنَكَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلطَّوْلِ مِنْهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ ذَرْنَا نَكُن مَّعَ ٱلْقَـٰعِدِينَ 86
{86} Yeye Mtukufu anasema akibainisha kuendelea kwa wanafiki kujitia uzito katika kufanya mambo ya utiifu na kwamba surah na Aya haziwaathiri: "Na inapoteremshwa Sura" wakiamrishwa ndani yake kumwamini Mwenyezi Mungu na kufanya Jihadi, katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, "wale wenye nguvu miongoni mwao hukutaka ruhusa." Yaani, wale wenye utajiri na mali, ambao hawana udhuru wowote. na Mwenyezi Mungu aliwapa mali na watoto. Je, hawamshukuru Mwenyezi Mungu na wakamhimidi na wakafanya yale aliyowawajibishia na akawafanyia wepesi mambo yake? Lakini walikataa ila uvivu na kuomba ruhusa ya kukaa nyuma, "wanasema: Tuache tuwe pamoja na wanaokaa nyuma!"
