At-Tawba
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. فَلْيَضْحَكُوا۟ قَلِيلًا وَلْيَبْكُوا۟ كَثِيرًا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ 82
{82} Walipopendelea yale yanayoisha badala ya yale yanayobakia, na walipokimbia ugumu mdogo wenye kuisha kwenda katika ugumu mkubwa wenye kudumu. Yeye Mtukufu akasema: "Basi na wacheke kidogo, na walie sana." Yaani, na wafurahie katika nyumba hii yenye kuisha, na wafurahie starehe zake, na wapumbae na michezo yake, kwani watalia sana katika adhabu chungu. "Hayo ni malipo ya yale waliyokuwa wakiyachuma" miongoni mwa kufuru, na unafiki, kutofuta maamrisho ya Mola wao Mlezi.
