Al-Anfaal
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. لَّوْلَا كِتَـٰبٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَآ أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ 68
{68} "Lau lisingelikuwa andiko lililokwisha tangulia kutoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu" kupitia majaliwa na hukumu yake kwamba aliwahalalishia nyara, na kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu amewaondolea enyi umma adhabu "ingewagusa adhabu kubwa kwa vile mlivyochukua." Na katika hadithi, "Kama adhabu ingeteremka siku ya Badr, hangepona yeyote kutokana nayo isipokuwa Umar."
