Al-A'raaf

وَكَم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهَا فَجَآءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَـٰتًا أَوْ هُمْ قَآئِلُونَ 4
{4} Kisha akawatahadharisha na adhabu zake kwa umma waliokadhibisha yale yaliyowajia nayo Mitume wao, ili wasifanane nao. Kwa hivyo Akasema, "Na ni miji mingapi tuliyoiangamiza, ikaifikia adhabu yetu." Yaani, adhabu yetu kali, "usiku au walipokuwa wamelala adhuhuri" Yaani wakati walipokuwa wameghafilika, na ya wao kujua huku wameghafilika, na wala maangamizo hayakuwa yamepitia katika nyoyo zao, basi ilipowajia adhabu. Hawakujikinga nayo. Basi adhabu ilipowajia, hawakuweza kuzizuia nafsi zao kutokana nayo, wala miungu yao waliyokuwa wakiitarajia haikuwafaa, wala hawakukataza yale waliyokuwa wakifanya miongoni mwa dhuluma na maasia.
