Al-A'raaf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۗ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ 3
{3} Kisha Mwenyezi Mungu akawaongelesha waja, na akawaelekeza kwenye Kitabu, akasema, "Yafuateni yale yaliyoteremshwa kwenu kutoka kwa Mola wenu Mlezi;" yaani, Kitabu ambacho ninachotaka kukiteremsha kwa ajili yenu, nacho ni "kutoka kwa Mola wenu Mlezi" ambaye anataka kukamilisha malezi yake kwenu. Kwa hivyo akawateremshia kitabu hiki ambacho mkikifuata, basi malezi yenu yatakamilika malezi yenu na neema itatimia juu yenu, nanyi mtaongolewa kwenye matendo mazuri zaidi na maadili, na ya juu yake zaidi. "Wala msifuate marafiki wasaidizi wowote badala yake;" yaani, kwamba kuwafanya kuwa marafiki wasaidizi, na mkafuata matamanio yao, na mkaiacha haki kwa ajili yao. "Ni machache mnayoyakumbuka," kwa maana, lau mngelikumbuka na kujua manufaa, basi hamngeliyapendelea madhara kuliko manufaa, na adui kuliko rafiki msaidizi.
