وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًا ۚ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ 50
{50} Yaani, "Na" tulituma "kwa 'Aadi." Nao ni kabila linalojulikana kwamba walikuwa wakiishi katika Al-Ahqaf huko ardhi ya Yemen, "ndugu yao" kwa nasaba, "Hud" ili waweze kujifunza kwake, na waweze kuujua ukweli wake. Basi akawaambia: "Mwabuduni Mwenyezi Mungu! Hamna mungu isipokuwa Yeye tu. Nyinyi si chochote isipokuwa ni wazushi tu." Yaani, aliwaamrisha kumwabudu Mwenyezi Mungu peke yake, na akawakataza yale wanayofanya miongoni mwa kumwabudu asiyekuwa Mwenyezi Mungu, na akawajulisha kuwa walimsingizia Mwenyezi Mungu uongo katika kuabudu kwao asiyekuwa Yeye na kuruhusu kwao hilo, na akawawekea wazi ulazima wa kumwabudu Mwenyezi Mungu na uharibifu wa kuabudu kisichokuwa Yeye.
