الجواهر الحسان في تفسير القرآنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ 1 وَأَنتَ حِلٌّۢ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ 2
وهي مكّيّة في قول الجمهور وقيل مدنيّة
قوله تعالى: لاَ أُقْسِمُ بِهذَا الْبَلَدِ الكلامُ في لا تقدم في لاَ أُقْسِمُ [القيامة: 1] والبَلَدُ هو: «مكة» .
وقوله تعالى: وَأَنْتَ حِلٌّ قال ابن عباس وجماعة: معناه وأنت حَلاَلٌ بهذا البلد، يحلُّ لك فيه قَتْلُ من شئتَ، وكان هذا يومُ فَتْحِ مكة، وعلى هذا يتركبُ قولُ مَنْ قال:
السورة مدنية نَزَلَتْ عَامَ الفتح [[أخرجه الطبري (12/ 585) ، (37231) ، وذكره ابن عطية (5/ 483) ، وابن كثير في «تفسيره» (4/ 511) ، والسيوطي في «الدر المنثور» ، وعزاه للحاكم وصححه من طريق مجاهد عن ابن عبّاس بنحوه.]] ، وقال آخرون: المعنى وأنْتَ حال ساكن بهذا البلد.
