At-Tawba
الجواهر الحسان في تفسير القرآنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

قُلْ أَنفِقُوا۟ طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا لَّن يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنكُمْ ۖ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ 53 وَمَا مَنَعَهُمْ أَن تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقَـٰتُهُمْ إِلَّآ أَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِۦ وَلَا يَأْتُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كُسَالَىٰ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كَـٰرِهُونَ 54
وقوله سبحانه: قُلْ أَنْفِقُوا طَوْعاً أَوْ كَرْهاً الآية: سَبَبُها أَنَّ الجَدَّ بْنَ قَيْسٍ حين قال: ائذن لي ولا تفتنِّي، قال: إِني أعينك بمالي [[تقدم تخريجه.]] ، فنزلَتْ هذه الآية فيه، وهي عامَّة بعده.
وقوله عزَّ وجلَّ: وَما مَنَعَهُمْ أَنْ تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقاتُهُمْ إِلَّا أَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ.
وفي «صحيح مسلم» عن النبيِّ ﷺ أنه قال: «إِنَّ ثَوَابَ الكَافِرِ عَلَى أَفْعَالِهِ البَرَّةِ هُوَ في الطُّعْمَةِ يَطْعَمُهَا» [[تقدم.]] وَنَحْوَ ذلك، وهذا مَقْنَعٌ لا يحتاج معه إِلى نَظَرٍ، وأما أَنْ ينتفع بها في الآخرة فلا، وكُسالى: جمع كسلان.
