الجواهر الحسان في تفسير القرآنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ 204 أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ سِنِينَ 205 ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ 206 مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ 207 وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ 208 ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ 209 وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينُ 210 وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ 211
وقوله سبحانه: أَفَبِعَذابِنا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ توبيخٌ لقريش على استعجالهم العذاب، وقولهم للنبي ﷺ: أَسْقِطْ علينا كِسَفاً من السماء، وقولهم: أين ما تعدنا؟ ثم خاطب سبحانه نَبِيَّهُ- عليه السلام- بقوله: أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَتَّعْناهُمْ سِنِينَ.
قال عِكْرِمَةُ: سِنِينَ: يريد عمر الدنيا [[ذكره ابن عطية (4/ 344) .]] ، ثم أخبر تعالى أنّه لم يهلك قرية من القُرَى إلاَّ بعد إرسال مَنْ ينذرهم عذاب الله عز وجل ذكرى لهم وتبصرةً.
وقوله تعالى: وَما تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّياطِينُ الضمير في بِهِ عائد على القرآن.
