جامع البيان في تأويل آي القرآنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا ءَاخَرِينَ 42 مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ 43
القول في تأويل قوله تعالى: ﴿ثُمَّ أَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا آخَرِينَ (٤٢) مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ (٤٣) ﴾
يقول تعالى ذكره: ثم أحدثنا من بعد هلاك ثمود قوما آخرين.

وقوله: ﴿مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا﴾
يقول: ما يتقدم هلاك أمة من تلك الأمم التي أنشأناها بعد ثمود قبل الأجل الذي أجلنا لهلاكها، ولا يستأخر هلاكها عن الأجل الذي أجلنا لهلاكها، والوقت الذي وقتنا لفنائها، ولكنها تهلك لمجيئه. وهذا وعيد من الله لمشركي قوم نبينا محمد ﷺ، وإعلام منه لهم أن تأخيره في آجالهم، مع كفرهم به وتكذيبهم رسوله، ليبلغوا الأجل الذي أجل لهم، فيحلّ بهم نقمته، كسنته فيمن قبلهم من الأمم السالفة.
