Ad-Dhuhaa
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَٱلضُّحَىٰ 1 وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ 2 مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ 3
{1 - 3} Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu anaapa kwa mchana unapotanda mwangaza wake wakati wa dhuha, na usiku "unapotanda" na giza lake likafunika sawasawa. Haya yanaonyesha kujali kwa Mwenyezi Mungu Mtume wake - rehema na amani za Mwenyezi Mungu zimfikie. Akasema: "Mola wako Mlezi hakukuacha" tangu alipokujali, wala hajakutelekeza tangu alipokulea na kukutunza. Bali anaendelea kukulea kwa malezi kamilifu zaidi na kukuinua daraja moja baada ya nyingine. "wala" Mwenyezi Mungu "hakukasirika nawea" tangu alipokupenda. Kwa maana kukanusha kinyume cha kitu ni ushahidi wa kuthibitika kwa kinyume chake, na ukanushaji mtupu tu hauonyeshi kusifika kwa kitu hicho isipokuwa ikiwa hilo linajumuisha kuthibitisha ukamilifu wake. Hii ndiyo hali ya Mtume – rehema na amani za Mwenyezi Mungu ziwe juu yake – ya zamani na ya sasa, hali kamili zaidi ya upendo wa Mwenyezi Mungu kwake, kuendelea kwake, kumpandisha kwake hadi kwenye viwango vya ukamilifu, na Mwenyezi Mungu kuendelea kumtunza.
