Al-Muddaththir
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَلَا تَمْنُن تَسْتَكْثِرُ 6
{6} "Wala usitoe kwa kutaraji kuzidishiwa." Yaani, usiwape watu neema za kidini na za kidunia ulizowaneemesha kwazo ili uzidishiwe kwa kuneemesha huko. Bali wafanyie wema watu uwezavyo na usahau wema wako kwao, na utafute malipo yako kwa Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu, na wafanye sawa yule uliyemneemesha na yule ambaye hukumneemesha. Na imesemwa kwamba maana yake ni kuwa usimpe mtu kitu ilihali unataka akulipe zaidi ya hicho kitu, basi hili linakuwa ni mahususi kwa Nabii - rehema na amani za Mwenyezi Mungu zimshukie.
