This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. أَلَمْ تَرَوْا۟ كَيْفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَـٰوَٰتٍ طِبَاقًا 15 وَجَعَلَ ٱلْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا 16
{15 - 16} Vile vile akatumia ushahidi wa kuumbwa kwa mbingu ambako ni kukubwa kuliko kuumbwa kwa watu, akasema: "Kwani hamwoni jinsi Mwenyezi Mungu alivyoziumba mbingu saba kwa matabaka?" Yaani, kila mbingu iko juu ya nyingine. "Na akaufanya mwezi ndani yake uwe nuru" kwa wakazi wa ardhini, "na akalifanya jua kuwa taa?" Katika haya kuna tanabahisho juu ya ukubwa wa maumbile ya vitu hivi, na wingi wa manufaa katika jua na mwezi, yanayoashiria rehema za Mwenyezi Mungu na upana wa wema wake. Kwa hivyo, Mkuu, Mwingi wa rehema anastahili kutukuzwa, kupendwa, kuogopwa na kutumainiwa.
