This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ 1
Katika Sura hii, Mwenyezi Mungu ametaja hadithi ya Nuhu peke yake. Kwa sababu ya kukaa kwake muda mrefu miongoni mwa watu wake na miito yake ya mara kwa mara ya kumpwekesha Mwenyezi Mungu na kukataza kwake ushirikina:
{1} Basi Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu akajulisha kwamba alimtuma Nuhu kwa watu wake kuwa ni rehema kwao na onyo kutokana na adhabu chungu. Kwa kuogopa wasije wakaendelea katika ukafiri wao, na [Mwenyezi Mungu] akawaangamiza maangamizo ya milele na kuwaadhibu kwa adhabu isiyoisha.
