Al-A'raaf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلْفَـٰحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ 80
{80} Yani "na" mtaje mja wetu "Lut" amani iwe juu yake, tulipomtuma kwa kaumu yake, Awaamrishe kumwabudu Mwenyezi Mungu peke yake, na awakataze machafu ambayo hakuna yeyote aliyewatangulia kwayo katika walimwengu. Kwa hivyo Akasema, "Je, mnafanya uchafu." Yaani, jambo ambalo lilifikia ukubwa na ubaya kiasi kwamba umechukua aina za uchafu wote, "hakuwatangulia kwa huo yeyote katika walimwengu." Na kuwa kwake uchafu ni miongoni mwa mambo mabaya sana; na kuwa kwao wa kwanza katika hilo, na kulizua, na kuliweka kama ada kwa wale walio baada yao pia ni miongoni mwa mambo mabaya sana.
