Al-A'raaf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَإِذَا صُرِفَتْ أَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ تِلْقَآءَ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ 47
{47} "Na yanapogeuzwa macho yao kuelekea watu wa Motoni," na wakaona mwono mbaya na hali ya kutisha, "wanasema: Mola wetu Mlezi! Usitujaalie kuwa pamoja na kaaumu madhalimu." Basi watu wa Peponi wanapoonwa na watu wa Al-A’raf, wanatumaini kuwa pamoja nao Peponi, na wanawaamkua na kuwasalimia. Na wakati macho yao yanapogeuka bila ya kutaka kwao kuelekea watu wa Motoni, wanajikinga kwa Mwenyezi Mungu kutokana na hali yao. Na hii ni kwa namna ya ujumla.
