Al-A'raaf

وَإِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْكُنُوا۟ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ وَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ وَقُولُوا۟ حِطَّةٌ وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطِيٓـَٔـٰتِكُمْ ۚ سَنَزِيدُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 161
{161} "Na pale walipoambiwa: Ukaeni mji huu." Yaani, uingieni ili uwe nchi yenu na makazi, nayo ni Ilyaa. "Na mle humo popote mpendapo," yaani, kijiji ambacho kilikuwa na miti mingi, na matunda tele, na maisha ya starehe. Basi ndiyo maana Mwenyezi Mungu akawaamrisha kwamba wale humo popote wapendapo. "Na semeni" wakati wanapoingia mlangoni, "Tufutie dhambi zetu;" yaani, tuondolee dhambi zetu na utusamehe, "Na uingieni mlango wake kwa kusujudu." Yaani, hali ya kuwa mmemnyenyekea Mola wenu Mlezi, mmejisalimisha kwa utukufu wake, mkishukuru neema yake. Basi akawaamrisha kunyenyekea na kuomba kusitiriwa dhambi, na akawaahidi juu ya hilo kuwasitiria dhambi zao, na kuwapa thawabu za sasa na za baadaye. Kwa hivyo akasema: "Tutawasitiria makosa yenu. Walio wema tutawazidishia" katika heri ya dunia na Akhera.
