Al-Waaqia
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا ثَلَـٰثَةً 7 فَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ 8 وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ 9
{7 - 9} "Na nyinyi" enyi viumbe! "mtakuwa namna tatu." Yaani, mtagawanyika katika makundi matatu kulingana na matendo yenu mema na mabaya. Kisha akabainisha kwa undani hali za namna tatu hizo, akasema: "Basi watakuwepo wa kuliani; je, ni wepi wa kuliani?" Hii ni kuonyesha hadhi yao kubwa na kuonyesha ukubwa wa hali yao. "Na wa kushotoni; je, ni wepi wa kushotoni?" Na hili ni la kuonyesha hali yao ya kutisha mno.
