Ar-Rahmaan

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ 19 بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ 20 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 21 يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ 22 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ 23
{19 - 23} Kinachomaanishwa na bahari mbili ni bahari ya maji matamu na bahari ya maji ya chumvi. Mbili hizo zinakutana, kisha hiyo ya maji matamu inamimina kwenye bahari ya maji ya chumvi, na yanachanganyika, lakini Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu ameweka kizuizi kati yake kwenye ardhi, ili moja yake isiingie katika nyingine, na ili yaweze kupatikana manufaa kutoka kwa kila moja yake. Kwani hiyo ya maji matamu watu, miti na mimea hunywa kutoka humo. Nayo hiyo ya maji ya chumvi husafisha hewa, huzalisha nyangumi, samaki, lulu na marijani, na kuzifanya safina na vipando vinginevyo vya majini kuwa imara juu ya maji. Ndiyo maana akasema:
