Al-Fath
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. لِّيَغْفِرَ لَكَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنۢبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَٰطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا 2
{2} Mwenyezi Mungu alipanga mambo kadhaa kutokana na ushindi huu, akasema: "Ili Mwenyezi Mungu akusamehe makosa yako yaliyotangulia na yajayo." Na hili - na Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye anajua zaidi - ni kwa sababu ya utiifu mwingi uliotokea kwa sababu yake na watu wengi kuingia katika Dini, na kwa sababu ya yale aliyoyastahimili - rehema na amani ziwe juu yake, - miongoni mwa masharti hayo ambayo hawezi kuyavumilia isipokuwa wenye stahamala kubwa miongoni mwa Mitume, na hili ni katika fadhila zake kubwa na utukufu wake - rehema na amani ziwe juu yake, kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu alimghufiria madhambi yake yaliyopita na yajayo, ''na akutimizie neema zake" kwa kuitia nguvu dini yako, na ushindi wako dhidi ya maadui zako, na kupanuka kwa maneno yako ''na akuongoe katika njia iliyonyooka'' ambayo kwayo utapata furaha ya milele na kufaulu kwenye kudumu milele.
