As-Saaffaat
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَـٰنًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ 97 فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ 98
{97 - 98} "Wakasema: Mjengeeni mjengo" ulioinuka juu kabisa kisha washeni moto ndani yake, "na kisha mtupeni motoni humo!" Yawe malipo yake kwa yale aliyoyafanya ya kuivunja miungu yao. Basi walitaka kumfanyia "vitimbi" ili wamuue vibaya mno "lakini tukawafanya wao ndio wa chini zaidi." Mwenyezi Mungu akawageuzia vitimbi vyao hivyo kooni mwao, na akaufanya Moto kuwa ni baridi na salama kwa Ibrahim.
