This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ 151 وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ 152 أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ 153 مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ 154 أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ 155 أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌ مُّبِينٌ 156 فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ 157
{151 - 157} Ndiyo maana akasema: "Ati ni kwa uzushi wao ndio wanasema: Mwenyezi Mungu amezaa! Ama hakika bila ya shaka hao ni waongo! Ati amekhiari watoto wa kike kuliko wa kiume? Mna nini? Mnahukumu vipi nyinyi," kwa hukumu hii ya udhalimu? "Basi je, hamkumbuki" mkaipambanua kauli hii batili yenye dhuluma? Kwani kama mngekumbuka, basi hamngesema kauli hii. "Au mnayo hoja iliyo wazi" juu ya kauli yenu hii kutoka kwa kitabu au Mtume? Lakini haya yote hayakuwa, ndiyo maana akasema: "Basi leteni Kitabu chenu kama mnasema kweli." Kwa maana, mwenye kusema kauli ambayo hana ushahidi wa kisheria juu yake, basi yeye ni mwongo wa makusudi au anazungumza juu ya Mwenyezi Mungu bila elimu.
