As-Saaffaat
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَأَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ 147 فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ 148
{147 - 148} Kisha akamfanyia upole mwingine, na akampa neema kubwa ambayo ni kwamba alimtuma "kwa watu laki moja au zaidi." Kwa hivyo, akawalingania kwa Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu na "wakaamini," naye akalipwa kwa sababu ya hilo kwa kuwa yeye ndiye aliyewalingania. "Na tukawastarehesha kwa muda." Hilo lilikuwa kwa sababu Mwenyezi Mungu aliwaondolea adhabu baada ya sababu zake kutokuwepo. Amesema Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu: "Kwa nini usiwepo mji mmoja ukaamini na Imani yake ikawafaa - isipokuwa kaumu ya Yunus? Waliamini na Sisi tukawaondolea adhabu ya hizaya katika maisha ya dunia, na tukawastarehesha kwa muda."
