This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. قِيلَ ٱدْخُلِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ ۖ قَالَ يَـٰلَيْتَ قَوْمِى يَعْلَمُونَ 26 بِمَا غَفَرَ لِى رَبِّى وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ 27
{26 - 27} Kwa hivyo, watu wake wakamuua waliposikia kutoka kwake, na akawaambia yale aliyowaambia. "Akaambiwa" papo hapo; "Ingia Peponi!" Basi akasema akijulisha kuhusu yale aliyoyafikia ya utukufu kwa sababu ya kumpwekesha kwake Mwenyezi Mungu na kumkusudia katika dini, na kuwanasihi watu wake, baada ya kufa kwake kama alivyowanasihi katika uhai wake: "Laiti kuwa watu wangu wangelijua. Jinsi Mola wangu Mlezi alivyonisamehe," na akaniondoshea aina zote za adhabu "na akanifanya miongoni mwa walioheshimiwa," kwa kila aina ya malipo na mambo ya kufurahisha. Na lau kuwa nyoyo zao zitapata kujua haya, basi hawangeendelea kushikamana na ushirikina wao.
