This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ أَن تَزُولَا ۚ وَلَئِن زَالَتَآ إِنْ أَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًا 41
{41} Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu anajulisha juu ya ukamilifu wa uwezo wake, ukamilifu wa rehema yake, upana wa ustahimilivu wake na msamaha wake. Na kwamba Yeye Mtukufu "ndiye anayezuilia mbingu na ardhi" zisiondoke. Kwani, ikiwa zitaondoka basi hakuna kiumbe chochote kingeweza kuzishikilia, kwa sababu uwezo wao na nguvu zao hazingeweza kuzishikilia.Lakini Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu akafanya zibakie kama zilivyopatikana ili viumbe vipate uthabiti, manufaa, na mazingatio, na ili wapate kujua ukubwa wa mamlaka yake na nguvu za uwezo wake. Mambo ambayo kwa hayo mioyo yao itamheshimu kwa wingi, kumtukuza, kumpenda, na ili wapate kujua ukamilifu wa ustahamilivu wake na msamaha wake kwa kuwapa muhula wafanyao dhambi, na kutowaharakisha waasi. Pamoja na kwamba ikiwa angeziamrisha mbingu, basi ingewapiga kwa mawe, na kama angeipa ardhi ruhusa, basi ingewameza.Lakini wameenewa na msamaha wake, ustahamilivu wake na ukarimu wake. "Hakika Yeye ni Mpole Mwenye kusamehe."
