Ash-Shu'araa
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ 5
{5} "Wala hauwafikii ukumbusho mpya kutoka kwa Arrahman (Mwingi wa rehema)," akiwaamuru na kuwakataza na kuwakumbusha yenye kuwanufaisha na yenye kuwadhuru, "isipokuwa wao huupa mgongo" kwa mioyo yao na miili yao. Huku ni kuupa mgongo ukumbusho mpya ambao kawaida huo ndio unaathiri zaidi ya mwingineo. Basi kama ni hivi, kutakuwaje kupeana kwao mgongo ukumbusho mwingineo? Na hili ni kwa sababu hakuna heri yoyote ndani yao, wala mawaidha hayawaingii.
