Ash-Shu'araa
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَـٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ 200 لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ 201 فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ 202 فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ 203
{200 - 203} Lakini kumkana kwao bila shaka si chochote bali ni ukafiri na inadi, na kitu ambacho kimerithiwa na mataifa ya uongo. Ndiyo maana alisema: "Namna hivi tunaingiza katika nyoyo za wahalifu." Yaani, Tuliingiza uongo na kuupanga katika mioyo ya wahalifu; kama vile waya unavyoingia kwenye sindano, ndivyo ulivyoiingiza, na kuwa maelezo yake, kwa sababu ya ukosefu wao wa haki na hatia. Kwa hiyo, "Hawataiamini mpaka waione adhabu chungu;" juu ya uongo wao, "Basi itawafikia kwa ghafla, na hali hawana habari." Yaani, inawajia bila kujua adhabu isiyoweza kusamehewa na isiyoweza kusamehewa, ili waseme:Je, tutapewa muhula? Yaani, wanaomba waonekane na kuwajali, na kwamba saa imepita, na adhabu isiyoweza kusamehewa imekuja kwao.
