Al-Muminoon
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ 78
{78} Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu anaeleza yale aliyowapa waja wake, akiwalingania kumshukuru na kutekeleza haki zake. Akasema: “Na ndiye aliyewaumbia kusikio” ili kwa hayo mpate kuyajua yanayosikika na kunufaika katika nafsi zenu, dini yenu na maisha yenu ya kidunia. “Na macho;” ili mpate kuyaona yanayoonekana na mpate kufaidika nayo kwa maslahi yenu, “na nyoyo.” Yaani, akili ambayo kwamba mnapata kujua nayo vitu na mnatofautika kwayo kutoka kwa wanyama. Basi lau mngelikosa masikio na macho na akili kwamba mngelikuwa viziwi na vipofu na bubu; ingelikuwaje hali yenu? Je, mnapoteza nini katika mahitaji yenu na ukamilifu wenu? Basi je, hamumshukuru yule aliyekufanyieni hisani kwa neema hizi; basi mkasimama katika kumpwekesha na kumtii? Lakini kushukuru kwenu ni kudogo, pamoja na mfululizo wa neema juu yenu.
