Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَـٰقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ ٱلطُّورَ خُذُوا۟ مَآ ءَاتَيْنَـٰكُم بِقُوَّةٍ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ 63
Kisha (Mwenyezi Mungu) Mwenye baraka na Mtukufu akarudia kuwakemea Wana wa Israili kwa yale waliyofanya watangulizi wao.
(63) Yani kumbukeni "tulipochukua ahadi yenu" nayo ni ahadi nzito iliyosisitizwa kwa kuwatishia kwa kunyanyua mlima juu yao, na wakaambiwa "Shikeni haya tuliyokupeni" katika Taurati "kwa nguvu" yani bidii na jitihada, na kuwa na subira juu ya maamrisho ya Mwenyezi Mungu, "na yakumbukeni yaliyomo ndani yake" yani yaliyomo katika kitabu chenu, kwamba myasome na mjifunze "ili mpate kuwa kuokoka." na adhabu ya Mwenyezi Mungu na ghadhabu yake, au ili muwe miongoni mwa wachamungu.
