Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَمَن يَرْغَبُ عَن مِّلَّةِ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ إِلَّا مَن سَفِهَ نَفْسَهُۥ ۚ وَلَقَدِ ٱصْطَفَيْنَـٰهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ 130
Na Ibrahim alipomtukuza Mwenyezi Mungu, huku kumtukuza, na akaeleza sifa zake kamilifu, Yeye Mtukufu akasema:
(130) Yani hajitengi "na mila ya Ibrahim" baada ya kujua katika fadhila zake, "isipokuwa anayeitia nafsi yake katika upumbavu?" Yani aliipuuza, akaidhalilisha, akaikubalia kuwa duni, na akaiuza kwa mapatano ya waliopunjwa. Kama vile hakuna mwongofu na mkamilifu zaidi kuliko mwenye kuitaka mila ya Ibrahim. Kisha akaeleza kuhusu hali yake katika dunia na Akhera, akasema: "Na kwa yakini, Sisi tulimteua yeye katika dunia." Yani tulimchagua na tukamwezesha kufanya matendo ambayo kwayo aliweza kuwa miongoni mwa wateule walio bora. "Na hakika yeye katika Akhera atakuwa miongoni mwa watu wema." ambao wana daraja za juu zaidi.
