Al-Hijr
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَجَآءَ أَهْلُ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ 67 قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيْفِى فَلَا تَفْضَحُونِ 68 وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ 69
{67 - 69} "Na wakaja watu wa mji ule" alimokuwa Lut' "huku wamefurahi" na wakawa wanapeana bishara wao kwa wao juu ya wageni wale wa Lut' na uzuri wa nyuso zao na kwamba wana uwezo dhidi yao. Na hilo ni kwa sababu walikuwa wanataka kufanya uchafu na wao. Kwa hivyo wakaja hadi walipofika kwenye nyumba ya Lut', na wakaanza kumsihi Lut' juu ya wageni wake hao, ilhali Lut' anajilinda kutokana nao na kusema, "Hakika hawa ni wageni wangu. Basi msinifedheheshe. Na mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, wala msinihizi." Yaani, mchungeni Mwenyezi Mungu kwa sababu ya haya, hata kama nyinyi hamna hofu kwa Mwenyezi Mungu, basi msinifedheheshe katika wageni wangu, na mkawafanyia jambo hilo ovu.
