Ar-Ra'd
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ 32
{32} Yeye Mtukufu anamwambia Mtume wake, akimuimarisha na kumfariji, "Na hakika walifanyiwa kejeli Mitume waliokuwa kabla yako" Wewe si Mtume wa kwanza kukadhibishwa na kuudhiwa. "Na nikawapururia wale waliokufuru" Mitume wao mpaka wakadhani kuwa hawataadhibiwa, "kisha nikawashika" kwa aina mbalimbali za adhabu. "Basi ilikuwaje adhabu yangu!" Ilikuwa adhabu kali na adhabu chungu. Basi wasidanganyike hao waliokukadhibisha na kukufanyia stihizai na kutupa kwetu muhula. Wao wana mfano kutoka kwa wale waliokuwa kabla ya miongoni mwa umma. Basi na wajihadhari waje kufanyiwa kama walivyofanyiwa hao.
