Ar-Ra'd
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. ٱللَّهُ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ وَفَرِحُوا۟ بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعٌ 26
{26} Yaani Yeye pekee ndiye humpanulia na kumkunjulia riziki amtakaye, na kuikunja na kuifanya kuwa finyu kwa amtakaye. "Na waliufurahia;" yaani, makafiri "uhai wa dunia" furaha iliyowasababishia kutulia nao na kuisahau akhera, kwa sababu ya upungufu wa akili zao. "Na uhai wa dunia kwa kulinganisha na Akhera si kitu isipokuwa ni starehe ndogo." Yaani, ni kitu duni cha kujistarehesha kwacho kidogo, kisha kinamuacha mwenyewe na baadaye kinafuatwa na taabu ndefu.
