فتح القديرThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

الٓمٓصٓ 1
هي مَكِّيَّةٌ إلّا ثَمانِ آياتٍ، وهي قَوْلُهُ: ﴿واسْألْهم عَنِ القَرْيَةِ﴾ إلى قَوْلِهِ: ﴿وإذْ نَتَقْنا الجَبَلَ فَوْقَهم﴾ ( الأعْرافِ: ١٦٣ - ١٧١ ) .
وقَدْ أخْرَجَ ابْنُ الضَّرِيسِ والنَّحّاسُ، في ناسِخِهِ وابْنُ مَرْدَوَيْهِ، والبَيْهَقِيُّ في الدَّلائِلِ مِن طُرُقٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبّاسٍ، قالَ: سُورَةُ الأعْرافِ نَزَلَتْ بِمَكَّةَ.
وأخْرَجَ ابْنُ مَرْدَوَيْهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ مِثْلَهُ.
وأخْرَجَ ابْنُ المُنْذِرِ، وأبُو الشَّيْخِ، عَنْ قَتادَةَ،: قالَ: آيَةٌ مِنَ الأعْرافِ مَدَنِيَّةٌ، وهي ﴿واسْألْهم عَنِ القَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كانَتْ حاضِرَةَ البَحْرِ﴾ ( الأعْرافِ: ١٦٣ ) إلى آخِرِ الآيَةِ، وسائِرُها مَكِّيَّةٌ، وقَدْ ثَبَتَ أنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِهِ وسَلَّمَ كانَ يَقْرَأُ بِها في المَغْرِبِ يُفَرِّقُها في الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ. وآياتُها مِائَتانِ وسِتُّ آياتٍ.
