QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

وَيَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَمِنكُمْ وَمَا هُم مِّنكُمْ وَلَـٰكِنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَفْرَقُونَ 56 لَوْ يَجِدُونَ مَلْجَـًٔا أَوْ مَغَـٰرَٰتٍ أَوْ مُدَّخَلًا لَّوَلَّوْا۟ إِلَيْهِ وَهُمْ يَجْمَحُونَ 57
قوله تعالى: وَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَمِنْكُمْ، يعني: إنهم مؤمنون على دينكم في السر، وهم كاذبون بذلك القول. وَما هُمْ مِنْكُمْ، يعني: ليسوا على دينكم في السر، وَلكِنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَفْرَقُونَ يعني: يخبثون فأظهروا الإيمان وأسرُّوا النفاق.
قوله تعالى: لَوْ يَجِدُونَ مَلْجَأً، يعني: حرزا يلجئون إليه أَوْ مَغاراتٍ أَوْ مُدَّخَلًا، يعني: الغيران في الجبل. وقال القتبي: كل شيء غرت فيه فغبت فهو مغارة. أَوْ مُدَّخَلًا، يعني: سرباً في الأرض، لَوَلَّوْا إِلَيْهِ يعني: ذهبوا إليه وتركوك. وَهُمْ يَجْمَحُونَ، يعني:
يسرعون في المشي. ومنه قيل: فرس جموح، إذا ذهب في عدوه فلم يثنه شيء ويقال:
الجمح مشي بين مشيتين، وهو من لغات اليمن.
