QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

وَقَـٰتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ كُلُّهُۥ لِلَّهِ ۚ فَإِنِ ٱنتَهَوْا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ 39 وَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۚ نِعْمَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ 40
ثم حث المؤمنين على قتال الكفار فقال تعالى: وَقاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لاَ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ، يعني:
لا يكون الشرك بمكة، ويقال: حتى لا يتخذوا شركاء ويوحدوا ربهم، وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّهِ يعني: يظهر دين الإسلام ولا يكون دين غير دين الإسلام. فَإِنِ انْتَهَوْا عن الشرك وعن عبادة الأوثان وقتال المسلمين، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِما يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ فيثيبكم بأعمالكم. وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا، يعني: أبوا وأعرضوا عن الإيمان، يا معشر المؤمنين، فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلاكُمْ يعني:
حافظكم وناصركم.
ثم قال: نِعْمَ الْمَوْلى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ، نِعْمَ الْمَوْلى يعني: الحفيظ ونِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ يعني: المانع.
