بحر العلومThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهْلِهِۦٓ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا سَـَٔاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ ءَاتِيكُم بِشِهَابٍ قَبَسٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ 7
قوله عز وجل: إِذْ قالَ مُوسى لِأَهْلِهِ قال بعضهم: معناه إنه عليم بما ينزل عليك، كعلمه بقول موسى عليه السلام. ويقال: حكمت لك بالنبوة، كما حكمت لموسى، إذ قال لأهله: إِنِّي آنَسْتُ نَاراً يعني: رأيت نارا وأبصرتها من بعيد سَآتِيكُمْ مِنْها بِخَبَرٍ يعني: خبر الطريق أَوْ آتِيكُمْ بِشِهابٍ قَبَسٍ يعني: بنار أصيبها ويقال: كل أبيض ذي نور فهو شهاب، والقبس: كل ما يقتبس من النار، والقبس: يعني المقبوس. كما يقال: ضرب فلان، يعني:
مضروبه.
قرأ عاصم وحمزة والكسائي شِهَابٌ قَبَسٍ بالتنوين، وقرأ الباقون بغير تنوين. فمن قرأ منوناً، جعل القبس نعتا لشهاب ومن قرأ بِشِهابٍ غير منون، أضاف الشهاب إلى القبس ثم قال لَعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ يعني: تستدفئون من البرد.
