تيسير الكريم الرحمنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءَ أَشْرَاطُهَا ۚ فَأَنَّىٰ لَهُمْ إِذَا جَآءَتْهُمْ ذِكْرَىٰهُمْ 18
{18} أي: فهل ينظر هؤلاء المكذِّبون أو ينتظرون {إلاَّ الساعة أن تأتِيَهُم بغتةً}؛ أي: فجأة وهم لا يشعرون، {فقد جاء أشراطُها}؛ أي: علاماتها الدالَّة على قربِها {فأنى لهم إذا جاءتهم ذِكۡراهم}؛ أي: من أين لهم إذا جاءتْهم الساعةُ وانقطعتْ آجالهم أن يتذكَّروا ويستعتبوا؛ قد فات ذلك وذهب وقتُ التذكُّر؛ فقد عُمِّروا ما يتذكَّر فيه من تذكَّر وجاءهم النذير. ففي هذا الحثُّ على الاستعداد قبل مفاجأة الموت؛ فإنَّ موت الإنسان قيامُ ساعته.
