تيسير الكريم الرحمنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

قُلْ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّى عَـٰمِلٌ ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ 39 مَن يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ 40
{39 ـ 40} أي: {قل} لهم يا أيُّها الرسولُ: {يا قوم اعۡمَلوا على مكانتكم}؛ أي: على حالتكم التي رَضيتُموها لأنفسِكُم من عبادة من لا يستحقُّ من العبادة شيئاً ولا له من الأمر شيءٌ، {إنِّي عاملٌ}: على ما دعوتُكم إليه من إخلاص الدين لله تعالى وحده، {فسوف تَعۡلَمونَ}: لمن العاقبةُ و {مَن يأتيه عذابٌ يُخۡزيهِ}: في الدنيا، {ويَحِلُّ عليه}: في الأخرى {عذابٌ مقيمٌ}: لا يَحولُ عنه ولا يزولُ. وهذا تهديدٌ عظيمٌ لهم، وهم يعلمونَ أنَّهم المستحقُّونَ للعذابِ المقيم، ولكن الظلمَ والعنادَ حالَ بينَهم وبين الإيمانِ.
