تيسير الكريم الرحمنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ ۙ وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ 13 ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَـٰكُمْ خَلَـٰٓئِفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لِنَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ 14
{13} يخبر تعالى أنه أهلك الأمم الماضية بظلمهم وكفرهم بعدما جاءتهم البيناتُ على أيدي الرسل تبيِّن الحقَّ، فلم ينقادوا لها، ولم يؤمنوا، فأحلَّ بهم عقابه الذي لا يُرَدُّ عن كلِّ مجرم متجرِّئ على محارم الله، وهذه سنته في جميع الأمم.
{14}{ثم جعلناكم}؛ أيها: المخاطبون {خلائفَ في الأرض من بعدِهِم لننظر كيف تعملون}؛ فإن أنتم اعتبرتُم، واتَّعظتم بمن قبلكم، واتَّبعتم آيات الله، وصدَّقتم رسله؛ نجوتُم في الدنيا والآخرة، وإن فعلتُم كفعل الظالمين قبلكم؛ أحلَّ بكم ما أحلَّ بهم، ومَنْ أنذرَ فقد أعذرَ.
