وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَآ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ 43
-43 Если бы они были верующими людьми и поступали в соответствии с обязательны- ми требованиями веры, то они не отвернулись бы от законов Аллаха, ниспосланных в Торе и хорошо известных им. Они выбирают тебя судьей в надежде, что ты вы- несешь решение, совпадающее с их прихотью. Но ты принимаешь решение, кото- рое совпадает с имеющимся у них постановлением Аллаха, и поэтому они проявля- ют недовольство и отворачиваются от твоего решения. Они не являются верующи- ми, потому что верующим не подобает поступать так. Они не достойны правой веры, поскольку они обожествляют свою прихоть и пытаются подчинить ей законы веры.
