As-Saaffaat
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ 167 لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 168 لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ 169 فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ 170
(167-170) Всевышний сообщил, что мекканские многобожники некогда высказывали же- лание последовать прямым путем, говоря: «Если бы Аллах ниспослал нам напо- минание и Ясное Писание, которое было ниспослано нашим предшественникам, то мы непременно стали бы искренне поклоняться Ему одному. Более того, мы стали бы искренними верующими». Однако их слова были лживы. Аллах нис- послал им самое лучшее из всех Писаний, и они сочли его ложью. Они осмели- лись восстать против истины, и очень скоро они познают последствия своего неве- рия. Наступит день, когда их постигнет лютая кара и они узнают, насколько му- чительно наказание Господа.
