Ash-Shu'araa
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ 5
(5) Они душой и телом уклонялись от повелений Милостивого Аллаха, преступали его запреты и не прислушивались к увещеваниям, которые открывали им глаза на истину и ложь. Аллах назвал увещевания новыми, подчеркивая, что все они соответствовали тем или иным обстоятельствам, благодаря чему они были еще более красноречивыми и убедительными. Но, несмотря на это, неверующие отво- рачивались от них, да и как иначе могли поступить люди, сердца которых лише- ны добра и не способны прислушиваться к полезным наставлениям.
