Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَإِذْ قُلْنَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَدًا وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُولُوا۟ حِطَّةٌ نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَـٰيَـٰكُمْ ۚ وَسَنَزِيدُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 58
(58) Израильтяне были ослушниками, но Аллах не переставал оказывать им милость. Он велел им войти в город, которому предстояло принести им величие и стать их родиной и обителью, где их ожидало изобилие всевозможных мирских благ. Аллах приказал израильтянам войти в город и подтвердить свое смирение перед Ним на словах и на деле. Они должны были смиренно войти во врата и попросить Аллаха о прощении. За это Аллах обещал простить им грехи и вознаградить добродетельных верующих наградой как в этом мире, так и в Последней жизни.
